about the matatchebo project
Planting Mango Trees for Economic Development Goals
At Matatchebo, we believe that by embracing our past, we can create a brighter future. We are committed to restoring lost connections, reuniting families, and promoting economic growth and stability in the community.
Welcome to the Matatchebo Project where we are dedicated to bringing together the people of Africa and the Diaspora through the shared history of the Loango Bay trade route.
Our mission is to connect descendants of those taken through the Atlantic slave trade with their roots in Congo Brazzaville, while building a sustainable economic system for those who were left behind.

OUR FUNDRAISING GOAL
Plant. Grow. Prosper.
Every seed and every tree we plant is a symbol of hope, life, and renewal. Our mission is to restore lost connections between the Diaspora and their ancestral roots while creating a sustainable future with the local communities within Congo Brazzaville.
By sponsoring a tree, you can make a meaningful impact on both a local and global scale. Not only will you be offering a beautiful and lasting memorial to the Loango people who have no name or marble mausoleum, but you will also be contributing to the greening of our planet and making a definite ecological contribution.
Our non-profit charity organization relies on the generosity of people like you to help us continue our work. Whether you want to donate, volunteer, or help us raise awareness online or onsite, there are plenty of ways you can get involved and make a difference.
Together, let’s create a better future for the people and the planet. Join us in our mission today.
